These stairs are inspired by the concept of power. I used the sleekness of the design to emphasise this and highlighted how an object doesn't have to be big and bulky to demonstrate power and that the refined nature of the design articulates this idea stronger.
Taking inspiration from the Jenolan Caves I used the idea of stepping down into the unknown to capture the essence of "Compelling". This is achieved through a closed off decent where the room below is only revealed at the end of the staircase.
