An alternative approach to the MAAS site, Parramatta.
This site, a late 1900 century structure, will be the new information centre for Parramatta’s city and river narrative. The historical architecture is a symbolic colonial tectonic and a physical attitude towards the freshwater river as these buildings rejected the river and only valued it as a utility and sewerage outlet. Ironically, these buildings will now demonstrate how import this river is, express our cultural change towards nature and be the river’s-built form beacon.

John Wardle takes a simple action of cutting or splicing and consistently articulates that through this design.This Vineyard uses the same motif throughout the entirety of the building whether it is emphasised by form, materiality, lines or shape.
